Try Mitt Stall free for 30 daysHow it calculates
The need for energy, protein and minerals is calculated from the horse's weight and work according to Swedish feeding recommendations. Forage is calculated first, because it should be the basis. Whatever energy is still missing is filled with concentrate, and minerals below 90 percent of the need are filled with supplements. It is the same calculation as in Mitt Stall.
What you need
Your horse's approximate weight and how many hours a week it works, and ideally an analysis of your forage. The analysis gives its values per kilo of dry matter, just like the fields here.
What it does not do
It calculates for healthy adult horses, from rest to intense work. For foals, young horses, pregnant or lactating mares and horses with metabolic problems, talk to a vet or a feeding advisor. The concentrate is a typical one with about 12 MJ per kilo, not a particular brand.
